Fleet Supervisor

Currently we are seeking a Fleet Supervisor to join a growing tug company based in Tampa, FL.

 

Job Description:

• Assist in management of day-to-day operations of offshore tugboat fleet.

• Work with operations and compliance staff to assist in keeping tugs compliant with all regulatory agencies including: USCG, ABS, Bureau Veritas, AWO, OCIMF SIRE

• Assist vessel crews in preparation for Class audits, surveys and other regulatory hull and machinery inspections. Attend as needed, on a case-by-case basis.

• Oversee computer-based maintenance tracking program.

• Work with HR and Crewing Department to ensure vessels are crewed by qualified and competent mariners.

• On call for rotational night and weekend duty

• May be assigned other tasks as appropriate.

 

Requirements:

• Experience operating, managing, and/or maintaining tugboats.

• Knowledge of marine towing industry

• Understanding of Engineering preferred

• Ability to work with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.

• Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.

• Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to get along with office staff and vessel crewmembers.
